It is not fun being temporarily blinded by the sun’s glares, sometimes it can be dangerous to our eyes. Polarized lenses will have a special type of layering on the surface that will filter out the light. The technology works by having chemical molecules inside the layering lined up to specifically block some of the lights from passing through the lens. Think of how we install blinds in front of our windows. Only the light that passes through the blind’s openings can be seen. Applying the same concept to polarized sunglasses, the layering creates vertical openings for the light. That means the only light rays that come in contact with your eyes are the ones that can fit through those openings. The result being, when you see through a polarized lens everything looks darker, but objects look crisper and clearer.
